I found the truth of "tranquillo" while working with a young gentleman from Mexico about 10 years ago. I don't think Victor ever read anything from Thomas Jefferson. Victor would always admonish us in the kitchen if we were not "tranquillo".

I referenced Victor in my recent 40th high school reunion bio by saying tranquility is now my major goal in life.

Kind of nice to know a man with the stature of Thomas Jefferson would agree.
